  2. Tracey--I just had to tell you that while I was in the checkout line at our local grocer, I glanced over at the book/magazine racks and saw On the Island with the bestsellers. No lie, a sudden, squeal-worthy thrill went through me, one, because I am so happy for you and, two, because I read this book when it was self-published, and I feel SO privileged for that little fact.

    Can I just tell you it looks blimmin' GORGEOUS up there with all those big names?? Yeah! Congratulations, chica. We all knew you when... ;)

  4. Congratulations on a brilliant book! I picked up a copy in my local supermarket in Stratford, London (the part of London where the Olympics were!) yesterday.   5. A friend of mine stumbled onto On The Island and suggested I read it because she devoured it well into the early hours of the morning because she couldn't put it down. So I did and it is without question one of my all time favorite books. I LOVED it, I love it still. I am so excited that it's taken off like it has. I am so excited to see it become a movie! I can't wait to see sweet TJ as a gangly kid and how he will evolve into a man... Writing this makes me want to read it again!
